Condo project topic at meeting

Residents living near the proposed Tuscan Ridge condominium project southwest of 57th Avenue and Hatch Road will take their appeal to the City Council at a special meeting today at 2:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall.

The neighboring Quail Ridge Annex LLC, Joseph Delay and Eileen Martin filed the appeal of a June 11 decision of the hearing examiner allowing construction of the 100-unit project perched on a hillside overlooking the Latah Creek area and adjacent to Spokane parks conservation land. They have challenged it on environmental and other grounds.

Much of the project is on steep hillside with an average slope of 45 degrees, according to appeal documents.
