Hughes ‘dumped’ on CCS

It is nice to see that Mike Burns is being given an opportunity to coach again, especially considering the unceremonious way he was terminated at Eastern Washington.

However, what is the thinking at CCS allowing a person to take a “one-year leave of absence” when that person totally dumped on the student/athletes, the CCS educational community, and the taxpayers who pay his salary by leaving for another job less than one month before the basketball season begins?

Totally unacceptable on Eric Hughes’ part to pull such a stunt, but unbelievably ridiculous that CCS would allow him to take a “leave of absence.” Leave of absence? He’s taking a job that triples his salary while he breaks his contract and deserts the kids who have been loyal to him.

Have some hair, CCS. You are getting a better man in Mike Burns, anyway. Say adios to Hughes and don’t let the screen door hit you on the backside on the way out of town.
