We’ll miss the Malubay shrimp

So what’s next for Ramiele Malubay following her ouster from “American Idol”?

Possibly some acting. Probably some singing in her native Philippines, where previous “Idol” contestant Jasmine Trias is a star.

And definitely, her friendship with fellow competitor Danny Noriega.

“We’re going to move in together,” says Malubay. “We’re a fun duet.”

Noriega didn’t make the final 12, but Malubay finished at No. 9, which gives her a spot on the summer “Idol” tour.

On Wednesday, she was in the bottom three with Kristy Lee Cook and Brooke White – two towering blondes who sandwiched the 4-foot-11 Malubay.

“I just hate heels,” she says. “I wore flats and thought, ‘The world’s going to see how tall I really am.’ “

That size may have a subconscious effect, with other contestants taking an almost parental interest. Malubay, 20, has referred to White, 24, as “Mother Brooke.”

That even spread to David Archuleta, age 17.

“I’m older than him,” Malubay says, “but he would walk by and pat me on the head.”

Not too rich for their blood?

The offspring of several singing stars – including Crosby Loggins (Kenny Loggins), Landon Brown (Bobby Brown), A’Keiba Burrell-Hammer (M.C. Hammer), Jesse Money (Eddie Money) and Chloe Rose Lattanzi (Olivia Newton-John) – kicked off their own TV competition for $100,000 and a recording contract Thursday on “Rock the Cradle.”

Says Newton-John: “It’s much harder for kids, even our kids, to break through these days. Everyone wants to be a singer since ‘American Idol.’ “

Spitting mad, indeed

Supermodel Naomi Campbell was released on bail Friday after allegedly spitting on a police officer at London’s Heathrow Airport.

Witnesses said Campbell was aboard a British Airways plane due to depart for Los Angeles when she became involved in a dispute because one of her bags had been lost.

Her spokeswoman said the airline “decided to resolve this by insisting she leave the flight and then called the police to forcibly eject her.”

A warm reception

An executive producer for CBS’ sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” says he’s open to having Britney Spears return for another cameo.

“I thought she was great. I was very proud of that episode,” Carter Bays says of Spears’ March 24 guest spot as a goofy receptionist.

Expense no-account

Spears’ ex, aspiring rapper Kevin Federline, spent $43,000 on hotels, dining and shopping in Las Vegas between May 2007 and this January, according to documents filed in their child custody case – including a cool $2,000 tip on a $365 meal tab at the Scores strip club.

He also had $74,102 in “music production” expenses, but only $9,849 in “music income.”
