Wendle Ford earns President’s Award
Wendle Ford, a Spokane auto dealer, recently was awarded the Ford Motor Company’s President Award for 2007.
This is the company’s highest honor, and reflects exceptional service and vehicle ownership experience for customers.
“Earning this award is a reflection of our entire staff’s commitment to delivering the best customer experience possible” said owner Dick Wendle. “I couldn’t be more proud to receive this recognition, especially since it comes from the people we value most – our customers. They’re the reason we were able to achieve this award.”
This is the sixth year Wendle Ford has received this distinction. A small percentage of Ford dealers nationwide receive the award yearly based on feedback from customers, often who rely on the same dealership for multiple autos or for the life of a Ford vehicle.
The Wendle Auto Group has been offering new and used autos to Spokane area residents since 1943, when Wayne Stoddard and Chud Wendle began operations at Third and Jefferson in downtown Spokane.
In 1966, the Ford dealership was relocated to its present location at Division and Wellesley, and later opened a truck and auto lot at the North Division Y. It is considered the largest Ford dealership in Washington, part of the top 25 used dealers in the U.S. one of the largest Nissan dealers in the Northwest.
Other brands available include Infiniti, Isuzu and Suzuki.
The dealership continues to be family owned and operated. It also continues to strive for high internal and external service, and has received the North American Service Excellence Award every year since 1974. Employees are also involved in various community causes, such as the Chamber of Commerce, School District 81 and more.
There are about 200 employees and more than 5,000 vehicles.
