Hope Chest Ministries plans open house

Hope Chest Ministries will host an open house Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at its location at 20 N. Pines Road, Suite 24. There will be refreshments and a drawing for a gift basket.

The organization provides services to women and children, including referrals for housing and legal assistance, clothing, food, career counseling and more. The nonprofit was founded in 2003.

Auctions

• The Spokane Valley Nazarene Church will host its annual auction next Saturday. A silent auction will begin at 5 p.m., with a live auction following at 6:30 p.m. Items up for bid include dinners, wooden lawn furniture and craft items. The event is a fundraiser for the church’s women’s, men’s and Mothers of Preschoolers ministries. Child care will be available.

• Millwood Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite Road, will host a spaghetti dinner and auction Friday at 6 p.m. The meal is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for ages 5 to 11 or $16 per family. Children 4 and younger are admitted free. The evening is a fundraiser for the youth group’s upcoming mission trip to Mexico. Call the church at 924-2350 for more information.

Concert

The musical trio For Eternity will perform in concert during the 10:50 a.m. worship service Sunday at the Pasadena Park Nazarene Church, 8822 E. Upriver Drive.
