Patient who’s too nice has ‘House’ worried

Mike Hughes Gannett News Service

Tonight’s must-see

“House,” 9 p.m., Fox. The final stragglers are back, with new, post-strike episodes.

On Tuesday, we’ll get “Stark” and “Women’s Murder Club.” Tonight, the terrific “House” has the first of four new hours.

Dr. Gregory House is worried about a too-nice patient and considers that a symptom of something ominous. His staffers, who are more familiar with niceness, don’t see a problem.

Also, Wilson spends a lot of time with his girlfriend, who is way too similar to House.

Tonight’s must-see II

“High School Confidential,” 8 p.m., WE; followed by reruns at 9 and 10 p.m.

Here’s the conclusion of a series that’s been intimate, observant, diligent and involving.

Cameras traced a dozen Kansas girls through their four years of high school. Some changed enormously, some barely changed, all were easy to care about. Now they reflect during prom and graduation.

Other choices include:

“Bones,” 8 p.m., Fox. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) has never been your warm-and-fuzzy type. Now she’s asked to look after a baby that was found at a crime scene; colleagues soon doubt her mothering skills.

“Two and a Half Men,” 9 p.m., CBS. Last week, an agonized Charlie decided he really should grow up. Tonight, he proposes marriage.

PBS’ “Carrier,” 8-10 p.m., KSPS channel 7, KCDT channel 26, KUID channel 12. The USS Nimitz is filled with secrets, the interesting first hour says. People can’t be specific about the ship’s destination or its nuclear reactor. Romances are forbidden, but occur. Most of this is viewed lightly. During the final minutes of the first hour, however, we get an intense look at two people whose drunken moment sent their careers crashing.

“Medium,” 10 p.m., NBC. Don’t you hate it when you get a great car and then there’s a dream and you realize it was involved in a horrific crime? That happens to Allison tonight. Also, she finally meets her husband’s way-too-attractive investor (Kelly Preston).

“The Bachelor,” 10:08 p.m., ABC. The bachelor has dates (and, possibly, intimacy) with the final three women. Then he eliminates one.
