How do I … add freely available sound to a video I’m making?

YouTube and other sites make it so easy to upload video that adding some music should be equally simple.

Several sites offer that option. We suggest the copyright-free sound effects at the Freesound Project, freesound.iua.upf.edu. That site is flooded with all manner of effects.

If free music and remixes are what you’re after, nothing fits the bill right now as well as ccmixter.com.
