Fey boasts an unusual beauty

The traditional refrain is that guys don’t make passes at girls who wear glasses. Tina Fey, though, is a notable exception.

That’s true even given the fact that Fey – the “Saturday Night Live” alumna, Sarah Palin impersonator and “30 Rock” star – has an even more notable characteristic: a facial scar.

Fey’s husband, Jeff Richmond, talked about the scar on the actress’ left cheek to Vanity Fair magazine. Richmond said a stranger slashed Fey’s face when she was 5 years old.

“That scar was fascinating to me,” Richmond said. “This is somebody who, no matter what it was, has gone through something. And I think it really informs the way she thinks about her life.”

Fey would rather ignore it.

“It’s really almost like I’m able to forget about it, until I was on-camera,” she said, “and it became a thing of, ‘Oh, I guess we should use this side’ or whatever. Everybody’s got a better side.”

Punk musician Travis Barker and celebrity disc jockey DJ AM will perform together for the first time since the duo survived a fiery, Sept. 19 plane crash in South Carolina.

How’d you spend your Thanksgiving? US Weekly says Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spent the holiday in New York with their British pals Victoria and David Beckham.

The couples took in the Big Apple Circus with their six kids. The Beckhams had their sons, Brooklyn, 9, Romeo, 6, and Cruz, 3; Cruise and Holmes came along with Suri, 2, and Tom’s kids from his marriage to Nicole Kidman: Connor, 13, and Isabella, 15.

People magazine reports that Alex Rodriguez attended Madonna’s Wednesday-night concert in New York before heading for Miami to spend Thanksgiving with ex-wife Cynthia and daughters Natasha, 4, and Ella, 7 months.

Rodriguez, 33, and Madonna, 50, were in Mexico City on Sunday, she to perform, he to teach kids how to, uh, swing a bat.

Word on the Net is that Jennifer Aniston, 39, refused 31-year-old boyfriend John Mayer’s recent marriage proposal. Aniston, said anonymous sources, “told John that everything is so perfect between them right now” and that “a wedding would be stressful.”
