In brief: Free pancakes Tuesday at IHOP

The Spokesman-Review

IHOP is partnering with Young Life, a nonprofit, multidenominational outreach ministry for teenagers, for a free pancake fundraiser Tuesday on National Pancake Day.

IHOP will offer free pancakes all day and instead of paying for your pancakes you can donate any amount of money to support Young Life.

Young Life of the Inland Northwest has a long legacy of impacting kids, with clubs at highs schools and middle schools throughout the entire region reaching over 1,200 kids each week.

IHOP locations are on North Division, Spokane Valley Mall, East Sprague near the Spokane Valley Costco and Coeur d’Alene at the Interstate 90 Fourth Street exit.

Red Robin hosts fundraising event

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery will present the eighth annual Burgers with a Heart fundraiser Monday through Feb. 24.

The restaurants will donate 50 cents from each burger sold to the nursery, which offers a safe-haven for children in the community who are at risk of being abused.

There will also be volunteers selling paper hearts to customers.

The goal of the fundraiser is to raise $15,000 for the nursery.

The fundraising effort will be held in the three Red Robins in Spokane County, 728 W. Main Ave., 9904 N. Newport Highway, and at 14736 E. Indiana Ave., Spokane Valley.
