Achievements: EWU names recipients of its Presidential Scholarship
Eastern Washington University recently announced local students that had been awarded a $2,000 Presidential Scholarship for the 2008-09 academic year.
Brittany Randolph of Mead is a student at Gonzaga Prep and is the daughter of Phil and Sandy Randolph.
Michael Graf is a student at Ferris High School and is the son of Bill and Cecile Proctor of Mica.
Steve Gerard, Lewis and Clark High School, is the son of Tom and Susie Gerard of Spokane Valley.
Amanda Adams is the daughter of Robert and Carol Beck of Spokane Valley and is a student at Central Valley High School.
Jaclyn Robinson is a student at Ferris High School and is the daughter of Jack and Irma Robinson of Spokane.
Rachel Baggs is the daughter of Donald Baggs and Harriet Small, both of Spokane and is a student at Ferris.
Matthew Grover is the son of Barb Slagle of Spokane and is a student at Gonzaga Prep.
Tyler Staples is the son of Kevin and Carolyn Staples of Spokane Valley and is a student of Central Valley.
“Cristen Royce of Spokane Valley was awarded a Lynn Triplett Scholarship for $500 for the 2007-08 academic year from Eastern Washington University. Royce is a graduate of West Valley High School and the daughter of Tony and Anita Royce of Spokane.
“Nathan Heard of Spokane received a $500 Charles P. Lund Music Scholarship for the 2007-08 academic year from Eastern Washington University. He is the son of Greg and Laurie Heard of Spokane.
