Liberty lake blotter
Liberty Lake police officers were busy the week of June 23-30, making 15 arrests. Three of those were juveniles arrested in the 3700 block of South Zephyr Road on alcohol offenses on June 28. One of the juveniles was also charged with giving false information and obstructing justice.
Part of the reason for the high number of arrests and traffic tickets for the week is because one of Liberty Lake’s officers issued six citations while working in downtown Spokane during Hoopfest. The arrests include two for driving under the influence, one for criminal trespass, one for an ignition interlock violation and eight for driving with a suspended license.
Six citations were issued for failure to show liability insurance, two for license and plates required, three for driving without a license, two for driving with a suspended license, two for failure to obey a traffic control device, two for failure to stop/yield, six for speeding and seven for failure to wear a safety belt.
Additional citations were issued for a defective muffler, improper passing on the right and improper lane usage.
Officers also responded to calls for an animal problem, two residential burglaries, harassment, an intoxicated person, two juvenile problems, two for lost or found property, two malicious mischief calls, a missing person, property damage and a hit-and-run accident.
