Madonna has recruited Britney Spears for a virtual appearance on her next concert tour.

“There is footage being shot of Britney sometime this week in conjunction with Madonna’s upcoming tour,” Madonna’s publicist, Liz Rosenberg, said Tuesday.

“That is all the information I have available. The rest is ‘a secret.’ “

Rosenberg denied reports that Spears, 26, is shooting a music video.

Madonna, 49, guest-starred in a music video for Spears’ single “Me Against the Music” in 2003. They stirred up controversy later that year with an open-mouth kiss at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet” tour, in support of her “Hard Candy” album, kicks off Aug. 23 in Cardiff, Wales.

Meanwhile, her brother, Christopher Ciccone, is making the rounds to tout his new book, “Life With My Sister Madonna,” which comes out Tuesday.

He tells London’s Sun newspaper that the fragile marital bond between Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie is being held together by a rabbi who regularly visits the couple.

Shrinking from her duty?

Christie Brinkley should get custody of her two youngest children – but she and her narcissistic husband both need therapy, a court-appointed psychiatrist said Tuesday.

At her divorce trial, Dr. Stephen Herman said the former Sports Illustrated model needs therapy as “an outlet for her anger and feeling of betrayal” by the unfaithful Peter Cook.

“I’m not sure I’m a huge fan of psychotherapy. I believe there are other ways to deal with this,” Brinkley testified later, but she added that she “would do whatever it takes to convince the court” to grant her custody.

Oh, keep your shirt on

Matthew McConaughey‘s longtime model girlfriend, Camila Alves, has delivered the couple’s first child, a 7-pound, 4-ounce boy.

Says McConaughey: “We are both tired and elated, and are so happy to have created the greatest miracle in the world – having a child and making a family.”

Was he, or wasn’t he?

It’s all over between Justin Long and Drew Barrymore, his reps said Tuesday.

Barrymore, 33, and Long, 30 – best known as the “Mac guy” in Apple’s computer commercials – co-star in the movie adaptation of the self-help best-seller “He’s Just Not That Into You,” slated for release next February.

Outwit, outlast, outlitigate

Mark Burnett, producer of the hit reality series “Survivor” and “The Apprentice,” is being sued by his former business partner.

Conrad Riggs seeks more than $70 million for his contributions to their joint efforts.

They met in the 1990s when Burnett was trying to pitch the “Survivor” concept and Riggs worked for Walt Disney Co.
