Kid’s Day today at City Park
The North Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children is expecting more than 500 young children and their families to participate in today’s 17th Annual Children’s Parade and Kid’s Day in the Park.
The parade begins 10 a.m. today at Eighth Street and Sherman Avenue in Coeur d’Alene and continues down Sherman Avenue to Coeur d’Alene City Park.
More than 25 vendors will be set up in City Park until 1 p.m. with exhibits and activities geared toward kids under 8. Coeur d’Alene Kiwanis will serve a free hot dog lunch for ages 6 and younger. Others can eat for $1.
Sponsors of the event, in addition to NIAEYC, are Coeur d’Alene Kiwanis, Kootenai Shoshone Area Libraries, Human Rights Education Institute and the Child Care Resource Center at Panhandle Health District.
