Paisano leads Indians’ win

EVERETT – David Paisano doubled and homered and drove in four runs to lead the Spokane Indians to an 11-7 Northwest League victory over the Everett AquaSox on Monday night.

The Indians (31-10), winners of three straight after a two-game losing streak, scored three runs in each of the third, fourth and seventh innings.

Dennis Guinn, Doug Hogan and Kyle Higgins drove in two runs apiece for the Indians. Higgins had two doubles.

Starter Matt Nevarez labored through four innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on three hits with three strikeouts. He walked two.

Tim Murphy (3-0) won in relief of Nevarez, striking out four in three innings.

Nate Tenbrink drove in two runs for Everett (16-25).

Spokane maintained its five-game East Division lead after second-place Boise defeated West Division-leading Salem-Keizer 9-7 in Keizer, Ore.
