Safety checks for car seats Friday
Kootenai Health is offering free car seat safety inspections Friday in Post Falls.
More than 95 percent of car seats and booster seats inspected at previous events sponsored by Kootenai Health were installed incorrectly, according to Sarah Nielsen, Kootenai’s volunteer services manager.
“We can show parents what they need to do differently to keep their kids safe,” Nielsen said in a press release.
Inspections take 20 to 30 minutes and will be offered from 1 to 3 p.m. at Kootenai Health Park, 1300 E. Mullan Ave.
Kootenai Health also offers inspections, by appointment, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursdays at Kootenai Medical Center.
To make an appointment, call Kootenai’s Education Services Department at 666-2030.
