In brief: NIC closed Memorial Day
In honor of Memorial Day, North Idaho College will be closed Monday.
The college will resume normal business hours on May 27: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
The Molstead Library at NIC will have an altered summer schedule from June 2 through July 24. The library will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday; on Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
All other NIC offices will maintain regular business hours during the summer.
Summer session will begin June 2, and fall semester will begin Aug. 25.
Fiddle Fest begins May 31
The Post Falls Community Volunteers summer events begin today with the Mayor’s Youth Commission Awards barbecue at the Grand Pavilion in Q’emiln Park from 4 to 8 p.m.
On May 31 and June 1, the Community Volunteers will hold its seventh annual River City Fiddle Fest.
The regional competition will be at the Grand Pavilion in Q’emiln Park from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on the first day and noon to 5 p.m. the next. Fiddlers will be competing for $4,000 in cash prizes and trophies.
