Auction items featured at All Saints School gala

Tickets are on sale through Friday to attend the All Saints Catholic School’s Snowflake Gala Nov. 14 at the Northern Quest Casino, 100 N. Hayford Road, Spokane.

The evening will include a silent auction with a signed basketball and T-shirts from Gonzaga University’s men’s team, a suite at the Arena for a Spokane Chiefs hockey game, a Palm Springs vacation and golf packages all up for bid.

There also will be a sit-down dinner, a dance and a live auction. The doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are $35 each, and attendees must be 21 years or older.

More auctions

•The Moran United Methodist Church will present its 10th annual penny auction Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Southside Senior Activity Center, 3151 E. 27th Ave.

Items for bid include gift baskets, gift certificates, a handcrafted quilt, a doll house and other specialty items.

The event includes lunch – sub sandwich, dessert and beverage – for $5. Dessert and beverage will be sold for $2.50 and drinks for $1.

The proceeds will benefit the church’s missions and special needs.

Cornerstone Christian Academy will present its second annual “Building Dreams, Building the Future” auction Friday at 6 p.m. at Life Center, 1202 N. Government Way.

Items up for bid include vacations and sports packages. The evening will include live music and an Italian dinner.

Tickets are available for $20 per person or $125 for a table of eight people.

Christian Youth Theater

The Christian Youth Theater will perform “Peter Pan” Friday and Saturday and Nov. 14 and 15 at 7 p.m., and Nov. 15 and 16 at 3 p.m. at the Bing Crosby Theater, 901 W. Sprague Ave.

Concert

Lincoln Heights Community Church, 3527 E. 29th Ave., will present Sean Birtch and Friends in musical worship Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

Bazaars and rummage sales

Trinity United Methodist Church, 1725 E. Bridgeport Ave., will present its annual bazaar and turkey dinner Nov. 13 at 4:30 p.m.

The evening will include homemade arts and crafts, candies and baked goods for sale.

The turkey dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. and is available for $9 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12 years old and $2 for children younger than 6.

•The women at Fowler United Methodist Church, 3928 N. Howard St., will present its annual “Bountiful Harvest” bazaar Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Items for sale will include baked goods, candy, Christmas decorations, jewelry books, plants and more. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The proceeds will benefit the outreach ministries of the church.

Central Lutheran Church, 512 S. Bernard St., will present a Scandinavian Bazaar Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The sale will include lefse, meatballs and several kinds of Scandinavian cookies.

Before the bazaar, there will be a Norwegian coffee hour from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. that will include homemade Scandinavian desserts served by women in traditional dress. The cost to attend the coffee hour is $4 for four treats and a coffee.

Seminar

Central Baptist Church will present a seminar, “Climbing Walls and Building Bridges: Understanding our Muslim Neighbors Better,” Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Park Heights Baptist Church, 5101 S. Freya St.

The featured speaker is the Rev. Walt White, a former missionary in Bangladesh who consults with the Board of International Ministries of the American Baptist Churches.

The seminar is free, and lunch will be served for a $5 donation.

Community dinner

Lidgerwood Presbyterian Church, 4449 N. Nevada St., will present a ham dinner Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m.

The dinner also includes Hawaiian barbecued beans, coleslaw, green beans, a roll, dessert and beverages. The cost is $5 for adults and free for children 6 and younger.
