So it wasn’t simply the emotion of playing No. 1 at home that brought out the best in Texas Tech last week. The Red Raiders just might be that good.

Proving the No. 2 ranking and win over Texas was no fluke, Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree picked up where they left off, scoring touchdown after touchdown and turning a showdown with No. 8 Oklahoma State into a 56-20 rout Saturday night in Lubbock, Texas.

After losing a fumble on the game-opening drive, Harrell led the Red Raiders to touchdowns on their next seven drives, capping three of them with TD passes to Crabtree, the big, strong sophomore who might be the nation’s most dangerous receiver.

Now that Texas Tech (10-0, 6-0 Big 12) has defeated two straight top-10 foes, one more awaits: No. 6 Oklahoma, in Norman, Okla., on Saturday.

(4) Florida 42, Vanderbilt 14: Tim Tebow threw for three touchdowns and ran for two more, and the Gators (8-1, 6-1 Southeastern Conference) routed the Commodores (5-4, 3-3) in Nashville, Tenn.

Florida clinched the Eastern Division title for the second time in three years and will play top-ranked Alabama in the SEC title game.

(5) Texas 45, Baylor 14: Colt McCoy passed for 300 yards and five touchdowns, Ryan Palmer returned an interception 22 yards for a tiebreaking score and the Longhorns (9-1, 5-1 Big 12) beat the Bears (3-7, 1-5) in Austin, Texas.

Texas scored on its first two drives before Baylor tied it by scoring twice in 4 minutes. The Longhorns went ahead to stay when Palmer picked off a deflected pass, pulled it off his shoulder pads, then spun and ran to the end zone.

(6) Oklahoma 66, Texas A&M 28: Sam Bradford threw touchdown passes to four different receivers, Chris Brown ran for three scores and the Sooners (9-1, 5-1 Big 12) routed the Aggies (4-6, 2-4) in College Station, Texas.

DeMarco Murray, Matt Clapp, Ryan Broyles and Juaquin Iglesias had TD catches for the Sooners.

(12) Ohio State 45, Northwestern 10: Terrelle Pryor threw for three scores and Chris “Beanie” Wells ran for two more to lead the Buckeyes (8-2, 5-1 Big Ten) over the Wildcats (7-3, 3-3) in Evanston, Ill.

(13) Missouri 41, Kansas State 24: Jeremy Maclin scored three touchdowns and totaled 278 all-purpose yards, helping the Tigers (8-2, 4-2 Big 12) defeat the Wildcats (4-6, 1-5) in Columbia, Mo., and grab first place in the North Division.

(14) Georgia 42, Kentucky 38: Matthew Stafford threw for 376 yards and the go-ahead touchdown to A.J. Green with 1:54 left to lift the Bulldogs (8-2, 5-2 Southeastern Conference) over the Wildcats (6-4, 2-4) in Lexington, Ky.

Knowshon Moreno ran for 123 yards and three scores for Georgia.

(17) BYU 41, San Diego State 12: Max Hall threw three touchdown passes and Austin Collie had his eighth straight 100-yard receiving game for the Cougars (9-1, 5-1 Mountain West Conference), who set a school record with their 18th straight home win by beating the Aztecs (1-9, 0-6) in Provo, Utah.

(18) Michigan State 21, Purdue 7: Javon Ringer rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns on 32 carries and the Spartans (9-2, 6-1) beat the Boilermakers (3-7, 1-5) in East Lansing, Mich., to stay on course for their first share of a Big Ten title since 1990.

(19) North Carolina 28, (22) Georgia Tech 7: Ryan Houston ran for a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to help the Tar Heels (7-2, 3-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) defeat the Yellow Jackets (7-3, 4-3) in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Cincinnati 26, (20) West Virginia 23 (OT): Tony Pike threw a 2-yard touchdown pass to Kazeem Alli in overtime to lift the Bearcats (7-2, 3-1) over the Mountaineers (6-3, 3-1) in Morgantown, W.Va., creating a three-way tie atop the Big East Conference.

(24) Florida State 41, Clemson 27: Christian Ponder threw for a touchdown and ran for another and Antone Smith ran for two scores as the Seminoles (7-2, 4-2 ACC) beat the Tigers (4-5, 2-4) in Tallahassee, Fla., to make a winner of coach Bobby Bowden on his 79th birthday.

(25) Pittsburgh 41, Louisville 7: Freshman wide receiver Aundre Wright ran 7 yards for his first college TD after having an apparent long scoring run called back by a holding penalty earlier in the drive and the Panthers (7-2, 3-1 Big East) turned four turnovers into scores while routing the Cardinals (5-4, 1-3) in Pittsburgh.
