Hot-handed trio sparks North Idaho
Three North Idaho Cardinals lit up the scoreboard on Tuesday night in Coeur d’Alene and the end result was a 90-82 non-conference basketball victory over the Idaho Select All-Stars.
Renado Parker hit all eight of his shots from the floor and led NIC (4-0) with 23 points.
Shawn Henderson hit four 3-pointers on his way to 22 points and Lateef Williams buried 8 of 12 shots, including 3 of 4 from behind the arc, en route to a 20-point effort.
Henderson added three steals and two blocks. Parker finished with a double-double, grabbing 10 rebounds, including six off the offensive glass.
Guy-Marc Michel came off the bench and contributed six points, six rebounds and three blocked shots. Fellow reserve BJ Shearry had nine points.
The Cardinals return to action at 7:30 p.m. Friday when they host Salish Kootenai College.
North Idaho opens Scenic West Athletic Conference play on Jan. 9 when they hit the road for the opener at College of Eastern Utah.
