Bluegrass concert at Jacklin Arts

The fourth annual Bluegrass Concert will be at The Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center at The Old Church, 405 William St. in Post Falls, on Dec. 13 and 14 at 7 p.m.

The event features the Spokane-based Bluegrass band Columbia.

Tickets are $15 and seating is limited.

Turn in unwanted meds

The Post Falls Police Department and the Post Falls Water Department are hosting a “Medication Turn In” on Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Kootenai County residents can turn in unwanted prescription and nonprescription medicines at Post Falls City Hall, 408 N. Spokane St. All medications will be safely disposed of, ensuring drugs will not enter the environment, our water, or end up in the wrong hands. The event is to promote awareness and safety.

DTV classes scheduled

Time Warner Cable is offering free Digital Transition classes at the Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls Libraries in December and January.

The 20- and 30-minute classes will explain the DTV transition, help to identify if you are affected, and your options if you are affected.

Classes at the Coeur d’Alene Library are Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. in the Jameson Room; Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. in the Gozzer Room; and Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. in the Gozzer Room.

Classes at the Post Falls Library are Dec. 15 at 6 p.m.; Jan. 21 at 6 p.m.; and Feb. 18 at 6 p.m. All classes are in Meeting Room One.
