Santa Claus is coming to town
Santa Claus is headed to Spokane and will arrive on Dec. 2. Hitching a ride on a firetruck, he will visit the following locations served by Spokane County Fire District 9 during the month of December to say hello and help collect nonperishable food items for the Mead Food Bank.
Locations Santa will visit include:
•Tuesday: At 6 p.m. Santa will visit the area east of Market Street on Center Street, including Meadowlark and Mountainview mobile home parks. He will move on to Cascade Estates including Miami Court, Cuba Court, Wilkington Court and Yale Street. Then, he’ll travel to Farwell Road, Roundup Lane, Fairview Road, Rolling Hills, Overview Drive, Sorrel Road, Peone Prairie Estates south of Peone including Morrill Drive, Camelia Drive, Regina Avenue, Cheyenne Road, Lynx Avenue and Parksmith east of Market Street.
•Wednesday: At 6 p.m. Santa will be in the Shady Slope area including Garden Avenue, Wilson Avenue, Regal Road, Emilee Court, Stephanie Court and Winger Road. Santa will visit the Northwood Middle School area including Pittsburg Street, Crestline Street and Carlson Court. Then he’ll visit residents of Farwell Road north of Hastings Road including Morton Street, Carlson Lane, Hamilton Street and Dakota Street. Finally, Santa will stop by the West Glen development up to Forest Glen including Metler Lane, Brierwood Drive and Dakota Lane.
•Dec. 6: From 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Santa will visit Costco at 7619 N. Division St. At 4 p.m., Santa will visit the Forest Glen and Camelot developments.
•Dec. 9: At 6 p.m., Santa will visit Mead and the area east of Wilson Avenue and west of the railroad tracks including, but not limited to, First, Second, Third and Fourth avenues; Cuba, Railroad, Florida, Myrtle, Freya, Sheridan, Wilson and Guy streets; Meadowlark, Carlson, Kasha, Appleyard and Buckley courts; Heritage Estates and Windsor Mobile Home Park.
•Dec. 12: From 5 to 8 p.m., Santa will visit Five Mile Prairie north of Strong Road. At 6:15 p.m., Santa will make his rounds in the Foothills area starting at Forker and Scribner, then to Foothills, Temple, Lincoln and Judkins Roads.
•Dec. 13: At 6 p.m. Santa will be at the Mead Royale Mobile Home Park and then visit any areas missed due to an alarm or inclement weather. From 4 to 8 p.m., Santa will visit Five Mile Prairie south of Strong Road. At 5 p.m., he will visit Morgan Acres starting on the east and traveling west.
•Dec. 14: From 4 to 8 p.m., Santa will visit the Linwood area south of the cemetery from Division to Monroe Street.
•Dec. 15: Santa will visit the Linwood area between Monroe and Country Homes from 5 to 8 p.m.
•Dec. 19: From 6 to 8 p.m., Santa will be seeing visitors at Fire Station 93, 9915 W. Charles Road. And, at 6 p.m., Santa will begin his tour of West Charles Road area starting at Inch, down Charles to Highland, back to Katie and Maybob, to Birdie, Bluegrass, to the end of Westshore, back past Fire Station 97, to Southbank and Waterview.
Dec. 20: Santa will be seeing visitors at the Sun Dance Golf Course, 9725 N. Nine Mile Road from 5 to 7 p.m.
