Associated Press

Vai Taua ran for a 22-yard touchdown with 3 minutes, 15 seconds left in the game to help the Nevada Wolf Pack rally for a 35-31 victory over the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on Saturday in Ruston, La.

Taua’s rush capped a 21-0 run that washed away Louisiana Tech’s 31-14 lead with 4:48 left in the third quarter. Nevada’s three-touchdown turnaround started late in the third with Colin Kaepernick’s 18-yard touchdown connection with Marko Mitchell, continued with Kaepernick’s 27-yard toss to Mike McCoy to start the fourth and ended with Taua’s game-winner.

Utah State 47, New Mexico State 2: Diondre Borel threw for 118 yards and ran for a touchdown and the Utah State Aggies romped to a victory over the New Mexico State Aggies in Logan, Utah.

Four other players also ran for touchdowns for Utah State. The Aggies had 241 rushing yards. New Mexico State, struggling on offense, finished with minus-7 yards on the ground.

The game was the last for Utah State head coach Brent Guy, who was fired earlier this month.

New Mexico State’s lone score came when Oren Long tackled USU running back Curtis Marsh in the end zone for a safety early in the fourth quarter.
