Treat or trick?

Party-wise, nothing beats Halloween on a Friday; but beware of the pitfalls

By Isamu Jordan Correspondent

For some people, wearing a mask actually increases the odds of attracting someone from the opposite (or same) sex.

So Halloween falling on a weekend is a good thing for more reasons than just the rows of parties that will be lined up around town like headstones in a cemetery.

But be careful out there, the fact that your potential hook-up is also in disguise could make for a true trick-or-treat scenario.

Consider the perilous possibilities.

Maybe she’s a strobe-light honey and what you mistook for a pretty face ended up being more of a leather face.

Or what you thought was a set of vampire fangs was really just a result of poor oral hygiene.

And perhaps you wouldn’t have asked for those digits if you had known the costume contest was also a drag show.

As for where these monstrous mishaps take place is entirely up to you.
