Blood center names new top executive

From Staff Reports

An executive with a Midwest blood center will take over as the CEO and president of the Inland Northwest Blood Center.

Jeff Bryant, who has been vice president of administration for the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center in Davenport, Iowa, will start his Spokane job this month, the blood center announced in a news release Monday.

Bryant, who has degrees in business administration and computer science, has worked with the Mississippi Valley Blood Center since 1998.

He takes over for Dr. Judi Young, who has been CEO of the Inland Northwest Blood Center for 10 years. She’ll remain in that job until she retires in April.

The INBC service area stretches in a 150-mile radius from Spokane and provides support to more than 20 hospitals and clinics in Washington and Idaho. It is the sole provider of blood products to more than 35 hospitals and medical facilities in the region serving a population of nearly 1 million residents.
