Longtime school board member Susan Lienhard submitted her letter of retirement to the board during its regular meeting March 25.

Lienhard first joined the board 14 years ago and decided to retire before the board decides on a final budget for the upcoming year. She hopes the district will be able to appoint someone to fill her position before that process starts.

The board will decide whether to approve Lienhard’s letter of resignation at its next meeting, Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Fisher Administration Building.
