C-murder, do murder, do life

From Wire Reports

Clad in an orange jail jumpsuit and with shackles on his hands and ankles, rapper Corey “C-Murder” Miller stood silently as he was sentenced to life in prison Friday for the shooting death of a teenager in 2002.

Miller, 38, was convicted Tuesday of second-degree murder in the shooting death of 16-year-old fan Steve Thomas in a confrontation during a rap contest.

It was the second time that a jury convicted Miller, but a 2003 conviction was overturned.

Thomas’ parents took the stand Friday to testify about the damage the murder had done.

George Thomas said holding in the pain of his son’s murder led to a heart attack which left him in intensive care for four months. Then he turned to address Miller’s family and friends in the courtroom:

“I’m sorry for you, but you can see him. You can talk to him. What do we have? All we can look at are photos and a grave.”

Just a temporary vacation

Aerosmith has canceled the remainder of its summer tour following singer Steven Tyler’s tumble from a stage, including Monday’s Seattle show.

Tyler, 61, broke his left shoulder and needed 20 stitches in his head when he fell during an Aug. 5 show in South Dakota.

In a statement, he thanked those who helped him, including the helicopter that evacuated him “for getting me outta there before I bled to death.”

But will she get fired?

Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth, known for her in-your-face antics on “The Apprentice” and other reality shows, is entering a seminary to study for the ministry.

Stallworth has done work for the homeless and poor in Haiti.
