Honor fallen military, too

The Spokesman-Review

I support the tremendous display of gratitude and respect for the four officers taken in Lakewood. However, wouldn’t it be nice if our fallen troops fighting abroad would be given a slight percentage of the attention given to the police officers?

Note that our military heroes face multiple and constant deadly dangers, 24 hours a day, not just while on duty. They also have families and they only make a third of the wages that police receive.

I am not trying to take away any of the show of respect for anyone, but just trying to remind that we have many brave heroes, be they domestic or abroad. God bless America.

Dave Darlow
