Many unanswered questions
Here and elsewhere, I see the health care debate raising more questions than answers, so I turn here with issues that are very troubling to me.
1. If this health care bill is so good, why does Congress specifically exempt themselves from it? I can’t find a senator or congressman in either state that will answer that question.
2. Why have recent “government studies” suddenly shown that screening tests for prostate, cervical and breast cancer are unnecessary? Is this how they implement rationing of life-saving tests? I know men and women who believe they are alive because of these tests. Are they mistaken?
3. The administration says that health care “reform” will cost $848 billion, based on 10 years taxation, six years benefits. How can that compute for the long haul?
What happens in the next 10 years? Much higher taxes? Rationed care? Both? The old adage: “Figures don’t lie, but liars figure” seems to apply.
4. Today Obama says that we can’t be denied coverage for pre-existing conditions. Does that mean I can wait and buy health insurance after I’m sick? How about extending that to auto insurance? Buy after the accident. Wouldn’t premiums have to go way UP?
