Medical Lake High School closed for week

Medical Lake High School will be closed to students and staff through Friday due to apparent damage to the school’s roof, district officials said. The extent or cause of the damage was not known, but according to the district’s Web site an update should be available soon. A district spokeswoman said sporting events and after-school activities were been cancelled today. Away sporting events will continue as scheduled, at other school sites. The school’s Winter Ball, scheduled for Saturday, has also been cancelled, officials said.
