Flutist Frieda Chan presents valentine concert

Flutist Frieda Chan will present “A Musical Valentine” on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Bing Crosby Theater, 901 W. Sprague Ave.
Chan, who lives in Spokane, has studied under Sir James Galway and performed at Carnegie Hall and Avery Fisher Hall.
Her program will include works by Mozart, Doppler, Godard and C.P.E. Bach. The concert’s highlight will be “Prelude a l’Apres-midi d’un Faune” by Debussy, accompanied by dancers from the Theatre Ballet of Spokane.
Other guest artists include two Spokane Symphony members, harpist Earecka Tregenza and flutist Justin Bahrami, pianist David Brewster and members of the Spokane Youth Symphony.
