Woman who robbed CdA bank pleads guilty

Coeur d’Alene Press
A woman who appeared pregnant when she robbed a Coeur d’Alene bank nearly three years ago could have to spend the rest of her life in prison and pay a $50,000 fine. Christie Lynn Brisboy, 26, pleaded guilty to robbery in 1st District Court on Wednesday. Police say Brisboy went to a Bank of America location in downtown Coeur d’Alene on March, 20, 2006, wearing a maternity top. Brisboy told the bank teller she had four children and a fifth on the way. The teller gave Brisboy money after she said she had a gun and a list of bills she needed to pay. Brisboy walked away on foot and wasn’t arrested until Jan. 15 of this year. Brisboy was charged with the robbery after a joint investigation by Coeur d’Alene police and the FBI. Her defense attorney, John Redal, says Brisboy pleaded guilty to the robbery to avoid federal charges. She is scheduled to be sentenced in court on April 13.
