Winehouse’s no fan of Norway

Amy Winehouse’s troubles extend now to … Norway?

The British singer has been summoned to appear in a Norwegian court on Jan. 12 to appeal a fine in a drugs possession case.

Winehouse, 25, and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, were arrested in 2007 in Bergen, Norway, where she was performing on tour. The couple were charged with possessing 7 grams (a quarter ounce) of marijuana.

They were held overnight and released after paying fines of 3,000 kroner ($415) each.

The 25-year-old Winehouse later appealed, claiming Norwegian police made mistakes. An initial trial date in March 2008 was postponed at the request of her attorney.

Police prosecutor Rudolf Christoffersen says Winehouse and Fielder-Civil will probably have to appear in person in the Bergen court.

Winehouse’s Norwegian attorney, Ole Kvelstad, said payment of the fine amounted to a guilty plea, which could have serious consequences. Winehouse was denied a U.S. visa this year when she wanted to perform at the Grammy awards ceremony.

Winehouse won five Grammy Awards in early 2008, including best record (“Rehab”), best song (“Rehab”) and best new artist.

Auditioning for ‘Super Troopers’

Movie star Matt Dillon was cited on Tuesday by Vermont State Police for allegedly traveling at a speed of 106 mph. The posted speed limit is 65 mph. Dillon is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 21. Interesting side note: Amid Dillon’s movie résumé – the film “Crash.”

Better late than never

The audition is over: Woody Harrelson finally married Laura Louie, the woman he has been going with for 20 years. Harrelson, 47, and Louie have three daughters: Deni, 15, Zoe, 12, and Makani, 2. Among those attending the Dec. 28 ceremony were Owen Wilson, Willie Nelson, Sean Penn and Alanis Morissette, who sang a song.

How much for his old picks?

Kurt Cobain’s guitars are worth more now than they ever were when he was alive. In a pre-Christmas deal, Punk rocker Sluggo of the Grannies and Hullabaloo sold a smashed-up Fender Mustang guitar that once belonged to the grunge icon for $100,000.

This time it really counts

It’s been more than a week now since the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences mailed out 5,810 official Oscar nominations ballots to voting members. One of the newest members is cinematographer Jonathan Brown (“Mama’s Boy”), who said though he and his pals have been making Oscar picks for years the choices now count.

“The idea that now it matters is so cool,” Brown said. “We can, in a small way, have an influence in people getting recognized.”
