Local teen bands in all genres are invited to apply for Spokane’s BOBfest 2009 battle of the bands.

Twelve finalists will participate in a musicians’ clinic, record their own song in a professional studio and compete in Riverfront Park on June 13. The winner will receive paid performance sessions, CD production and Hoffman Music gift certificates.

Applications are available at Hoffman Music, 1430 N. Monroe St., by calling the Spokane Regional Youth Department at (509) 625-6440 or online at www.chaseyouth.org.

Applications, along with song demos and lyrics, are due to Hoffman Music by Feb. 6 at 4 p.m. Finalists will be selected by the Chase Youth Commission’s Teen Advisory Council.

For more information, call the Youth Department or e-mail chaseyouthcommission@spokanecity.org.
