New ways to measure honey
Now Here’s a Tip
•Measuring honey can be a pain, since it has the tendency to stick to whatever you’re using to measure it. Try this trick: Give your measuring spoon or cup a shot of cooking spray. The honey slides right off, so you know that you’ve added the correct amount.
•“I reuse the plastic containers for pudding and gelatin. It’s easy to fill them when you set them in muffin tins, and a small piece of plastic wrap can be secured on top with a small rubber band.” — O.L. in Mississippi
•“To keep your dish sponge clean, throw it into the dishwasher. The bleach in the dishwasher soap cleans it up well.” — D.L.F. in Delaware
•Got leftover cornbread? Break it up into a plastic bag and freeze. Try it the next time you need bread crumbs. It makes a delicious change of pace in meatballs and meatloaf, for instance.
