Fog, stagnant air remain in area

A continuing high pressure system is keeping fog hanging over the Inland Northwest and the air stagnant. The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory until noon today. Areas such as North Spokane County and in the West Plains are particularly foggy. The air stagnation advisory has been extended through Thursday.

Sun could break through this afternoon, weather officials say. A high of 27 is forecast today with an overnight low of 24. Wednesday will be a bit warmer with above freezing temperatures during the day. This weekend, the Inland Northwest could see a couple inches of snow, according to the weather service.
