Reward offered for ATM thieves

From staff reports

Crime Stoppers has offered a cash reward for information that solves the weekend burglary of a Deer Park convenience store, said Spokane County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Dave Reagan.

During the early morning hours Sunday, two men broke into Levi’s Mini Mart, 109 Fourth St. in Deer Park. The suspects removed two cash drawers containing smaller amounts of money and prepaid phone cards.

The burglars also removed a Triton automatic teller machine (ATM) that contained a greater amount of cash. The thieves drove away in a white truck that had a matching canopy and tinted windows.

Both suspects were wearing dark-colored clothing, stocking caps and gloves. They had the hoods on their sweat shirts up and over their heads to help conceal their identities, and one of the men had on an Adidas sports jacket with gray sleeves.

Deputies who viewed security video of the break-in guessed that the truck is a late ’90s Ford two-door extended cab pickup with stock wheels. The canopy matches the height of the cab.

Anyone with information regarding this burglary is asked to call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 327-5111 or 1-800-222-TIPS. The caller does not have to give his or her name to collect the cash reward, but should leave a code name or number with the operator.

Tips can also be forwarded to law enforcement by accessing the Crime Stoppers Web site at www.crime stoppersinlandnorthwest.org.
