In brief: Tuesday is deadline for mail-in levy ballots

Residents in the Freeman School District must have their ballots in the mail by Tuesday. The district, along with the West Valley, East Valley and Central Valley districts, has a replacement maintenance and operations levy on the ballot.

The levy accounts for a portion of the annual budget and pays for items such as sports, technology and extra curricular activities that are not funded by the state. It is replacing an existing levy that is expiring.
