These double-doubles are starting to seem like old hat to St. Maries senior Aaron Corsi.
Corsi had 15 points and 15 rebounds and added five blocked shots for good measure in the Lumberjacks’ 53-24 Intermountain League boys basketball victory over the Timberlake Tigers Thursday night at St. Maries.
Corsi, averaging 25 points per game, hit double-double status for the 12th consecutive game.
Zach Lehman contributed 11 points, three assists and three steals for the Lumberjacks (10-1, 4-1), who led 19-4 after one period and held the Tigers (3-10, 1-4) to single-digit scoring in every quarter.
Derek Tymesen led Timberlake with six points.
Priest River 61, Bonners Ferry 36: At Bonners Ferry, Jake Weimer scored five of his 19 points in the first quarter when the Spartans (9-0, 3-0 IML) jumped out to a nine-point lead before cruising to victory over the Badgers (3-8, 1-3).
Post Falls 52, Lakeland 51: At Post Falls, Connor Hill’s 3-pointer from the corner with 17 seconds left gave the Trojans (12-1) a win over the Hawks (4-10) in the Prairie Pig game.
Hill led Post Falls with 11 points, while Cody Anderson had 11 rebounds.
Kyle English scored 14 and Austin Black 10 for Lakeland.
Coeur d’Alene Charter 70, Potlatch 61: At Coeur d’Alene, Rory Ruskovich led four Panthers (7-7) in double figures with 19 points in a non-league win over the Loggers.
Post Falls 53, Lakeland 43: At Post Falls, Jordan Schoening and Katelyn Loper combined for 15 third-quarter points to help the Trojans (14-5) get a non-league victory over the Hawks (12-5) in the Prairie Pig game.
Schoening finished with 19 points and Loper 17 for Post Falls.
Ali Whitted paced Lakeland with 12 points.
Clark Fork 35, Kootenai 18: At Harrison, Shaina Gustafson scored 11 points and the Wampus Cats (3-8, 3-3) held the Warriors (0-14, 0-6) to two points in the second quarter and again in the fourth to earn a North Star League victory.
Kirsten Scheffelmaier led Kootenai with seven points.
Wallace 45, Mullan 15: At Wallace, Lauren Lavigne had 20 points and eight rebounds to help the Miners (6-7, 5-2) to a North Star League victory over the Tigers (4-14, 2-6).
