Free meals for children

The federally funded child nutrition program was created to ensure that children 1-18 in low-income areas could continue to receive healthy meals during school vacations. Children may eat on all or any day and no registration or fee is required.

Broadway Elementary, 11016 E. Broadway Ave., is serving breakfast from 7:15-8 a.m. and lunch from noon-12:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday, through July 23.

Trent Elementary, 3303 N. Pines Road; breakfast from 8:15-9 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 13.

East Valley High School, 15711 E. Wellesley Ave.; breakfast from 7:45-8:15 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-noon, Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 13.

Otis Orchards Elementary, 22000 E. Wellesley Ave.; lunch from 11:30 a.m.-noon, Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 13.

Spokane Valley YMCA, 2421 N. Discovery Place; breakfast from 8:30-9 a.m. and lunch from 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m., Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 13.

Edgecliff Park, 800 S. Park Road; breakfast from 9:30-10 a.m. and lunch from 12:30-1 p.m., Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 13.

Valley Mission Park, 11405 E. Mission Ave.; breakfast from 9-9:30 a.m. and lunch from noon-12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 13.

Sullivan Park, 1901 N. Sullivan Road; breakfast from 9-9:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 13.

Terrace View Park, 13500 E. 24th Ave.; breakfast from 9-9:30 a.m. and lunch from noon-12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 13.

Centennial Middle School, 915 N. Ella Road; breakfast from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 20.

West Valley High School, 8301 E. Buckeye Ave.; breakfast from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, through Aug. 13.
