Police report sex offenders’ new addresses

From Staff Reports

The Spokane Police Department says two registered sex offenders have changed their addresses.

Eva Strasburg, 27, has moved to 327 1/2 W. Second Ave., in downtown Spokane, having last lived in Spokane Valley. She was convicted in 2003 for third-degree rape of a child and in 1998 for second-degree child molestation. Her victims were a 13-year-old boy and a 12-year-old boy, respectively.

Strasburg has red hair and green eyes. She is 5-foot-8 and weighs 230 pounds. She is a level 3 sex offender, considered at high risk to reoffend.

Michael Flachmeyer, 40, lives at 919 N. Madelia St., in the Chief Garry Park neighborhood, after living on North Altamont. He was released from jail in 2001 after serving a conviction for first-degree child molestation of a 2-year-old girl. Police say Flachmeyer has admitted to molesting six other victims, five girls and one boy, ranging in age from 2 to 10.

Flachmeyer has often volunteered to babysit children to molest them, according to a news release. Police said he has been spotted recently looking into the windows of a downtown day care center and has been seen hanging around Riverfront Park. He is considered at high risk to reoffend, police said.

Neither of these offenders is wanted by law enforcement, nor are they under Department of Corrections supervision.
