Power restored in area hit by storm

From Staff Reports

Power was restored early Wednesday after a thunderstorm that tore through the Priest Lake area in Idaho and extended to Thompson Falls, Mont., on Tuesday afternoon disrupted service.

About 2,000 customers of Northern Lights in the two states were without power when high winds dropped trees into power lines and caused broken poles and wires.

The sudden storm should serve as a reminder to Inland Northwest residents to have extra food, water, flashlights and batteries on hand for outages, utility officials said.

Anyone still without power in the area can call the utility toll free at (866) NO-LITES (665-4837).
