New format brings additions to TODAY

You’ll see some changes in the Today section starting this week.

Beginning today, we’re adding a column to the Monday Families page on C3 about fun activities that parents can do with their children. “Prime Time With Kids” is written by Donna Erickson, author of several books on the subject and host of a public television series.

Among the other additions:

A daily TV highlights column, Kevin McDonough’s “Tune in Tonight,” returns to our daily television listings page.

A local doctor will begin writing a biweekly column for the Health page on Tuesdays.

We’ll round up restaurant news in a monthly column in Wednesday’s Food section.

Features writer Rebecca Nappi is launching a monthly series called “Wise Words in Troubled Times,” drawing on the thoughts of local sages.

Rejoice, Jumble fans – the puzzle will run larger on page C2.

Meanwhile, we’re still tinkering with crosswords and comics; for more on that, see the note under the top crossword puzzle on C2.
