Fire damages West Central home today

Staff reports The Spokesman-Review
An early-morning fire damaged the attic and ceilings of a West Central home Friday in Spokane. Firefighters were called to a two-story house at 2122 W. Gardner Ave. just after 4 a.m., finding fire showing from the eaves on the east side of the home when they arrived, according to the Spokane Fire Department. Crews confined most of the fire to the attic, controlling the blaze within about 30 minutes. No one was injured. The extent of the damages and cause of the fire were unknown Friday morning.
