It’s the Apple of his ear

Bill Clinton (Associated Press / The Spokesman-Review)

So just how does Bill Clinton unwind between offering President Barack Obama unsolicited advice and helping Hillary pack for diplomatic trips?

Seems he kicks it with a little North Texas Wind Symphony.

The former president is auctioning an autographed iPod as part of a celebrity fundraiser to benefit Music Rising, a charity founded in 2005 to help Gulf Coast musicians replace instruments lost or destroyed during Hurricane Katrina.

Internet bidding through Tonic.com, stood at $1,126 as of Wednesday afternoon. The auction ends tonight at 11 (PST).

The red Nano purportedly includes the ex-president’s personal playlist, which features Simon & Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” Carly Simon’s rendition of “I Get Along Without You Very Well” and a few classical pieces, including the aforementioned Texas ensemble’s “English Folk Song Suite.”

Elvis Presley is noticeably absent, as is Judy Collins’ version of “Chelsea Morning,” which Clinton credits as the inspiration for his daughter’s name.

Chris and Rihanna, round two

E! News reports that the recently reconciled Chris Brown and Rihanna are recording a duet to be included on Brown’s next CD.

Brown and Rihanna, whom he allegedly assaulted Feb. 8 in what has been described as a vicious attack, are said to be holed up in a Santa Monica, Calif., recording studio. No comment from their reps.

He’s for real, Fantasia says

In case you were wondering, former “American Idol” winner Fantasia says Danny Gokey is her pick to win this season.

Fantasia says she loves singers who can “take a song that’s not theirs, but make it their own,” adding that Gokey – a 28-year-old from Milwaukee whose wife died last year from a congenital heart defect – moves her every time.

License to wed, indeed

It’s official: Actress-singer Mandy Moore has tied the knot with quirky alt-country performer Ryan Adams.

Moore, 24, started out as a squeaky-clean teen singer and later crossed into movies with featured roles in such films as “License to Wed,” “A Walk to Remember,” “Saved” and “American Dreamz.”

Adams played in the band Whiskeytown during the 1990s before beginning his prolific solo career.

Not enough man for her?

So what led to the latest split between talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel and comedian girlfriend Sarah Silverman?

During an appearance on “The View,” while dressed as former co-host Rosie O’Donnell, Kimmel explained: “I’m a 41-year-old man with a bra filled with Koosh balls. … I’m an imbecile. She couldn’t date an imbecile anymore.”
