Save the Date for Bike and Pedestrian Plan Public Workshop

Kootenai Metropolitan Planning Organization is seeking public input at an upcoming workshop to identify priorities and opportunities for improving biking, walking, and other forms of non-motorized transportation in the region. The Non-Motorized Planning workshop is Tuesday, May 19, from 6-8 p.m. in the Trailhead Pavilion at Q’emiln Park, 12201 W. Parkway Drive in Post Falls. Anyone who would like to help shape a bike and pedestrian system for Kootenai County is invited to attend. Information gathered at the workshop will assist in the development of a region-wide Non-Motorized Transportation Plan. The plan will identify policies, goals, and projects and possibly opportunities to provide facilities like pathways, sidewalks, and bike parking. For more information, see the KMPO website at www.kmpo.net Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP to either kmpo@kmpo.net or 1-800-698-1927. Please come ready to take part in exercises to share your vision of a non-motorized system for Kootenai County. For special accommodation/translation services, call 1-800-698-1927 72 hours in advance.
