Levi’s mom plans guilty drug plea

Associated Press

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The mother of Bristol Palin’s ex-fiancé has agreed to plead guilty in a drug case involving OxyContin, a strong prescription painkiller.

Attorney Rex Butler said 42-year-old Sherry Johnston will plead guilty July 31 to a count of possession with intent to deliver. Butler said the state has agreed to dismiss five other drug charges against Johnston.

Nineteen-year-old Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin, the 18-year-old daughter of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, broke off their engagement after the Dec. 27 birth of their son, Tripp.

Sarah Palin was campaigning as the Republican vice presidential candidate when authorities began investigating Sherry Johnston.
