Reward offered for information on store burglary

Meghann M. Cuniff Staff writer

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest in a convenience store burglary caught on video.

About 12:30 p.m. April 21, a man walked into Hico Village, 1201 N. Barker Road in Spokane Valley, and stole cash from an office while the clerk helped a customer.

Surveillance video shows a heavyset, older man with white or gray hair walking into a room and rummaging through an open safe, then returning to grab money from a bank deposit bag left on a desk.

Police estimated the man was in his 60s and about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10.

To watch the video, visit The Spokesman-Review’s public safety blog, Sirens and Gavels, at www.spokesman.com/blogs/sirens.

Anyone with information on the crime or the robber is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (509) 327-5111 or submit tips online at www.crimestoppersinlandnorthwest.org.
