Left had answers in WWII

The Spokesman-Review

Mr. Joseph Harari in his letter of May 21 (“Kid gloves not in style”) wonders “how in the world the current leftist socialists would have handled Stalin, Hitler and Pearl Harbor.”

I would imagine probably the same way the “leftist socialists” (Franklin Roosevelt and the Democrats in Congress) of the time actually did. I might add that Roosevelt’s efforts to rebuild the military and prepare the nation for an inevitable war were fought tooth and nail by the isolationist Republicans and their Hitler-admiring supporters (Charles Lindbergh and his ilk in America First).
