Now she’s Little Miss Miracle

Breslin (The Spokesman-Review)
From Wire Reports

Abigail Breslin is moving from spunky “Little Miss Sunshine” to an even more heroic young girl.

Breslin will play Helen Keller in the first Broadway revival of William Gibson’s “The Miracle Worker,” scheduled to open March 3 at New York City’s Circle in the Square Theatre.

Alison Pill will portray Annie Sullivan, the determined instructor who teaches the deaf and blind Helen how to communicate.

The production will begin preview performances Feb. 12.

“The Miracle Worker” will be the 13-year-old Breslin’s Broadway debut. Among her other films are “Signs” and “Zombieland.”

Paternity report

It’s another boy for Colin Farrell.

A spokeswoman for the 33-year-old actor announced that he and actress Alicja Bachleda welcomed son Henry Tadeusz Farrell on Oct. 7. The couple met while filming “Ondine.”

Farrell also has a 6-year-old son, James Padraig Farrell, with model Kim Bordenave.

Behind the camera

An Australian rapper who was a boyhood friend of Heath Ledger has released a music video the movie star directed shortly before his death.

N’fa Forster-Jones posted the 3-minute, 31-second clip for his song “Cause An Effect” on his YouTube and MySpace pages last week, along with a video in which he explains how the project came about.

Ledger, who died from an accidental drug overdose at age 28 in January 2008, shot a handful of videos for artists he liked, including Modest Mouse.
