Rihanna to tell all on ABC

Rihanna (The Spokesman-Review)
From Wire Reports

The first interview with Rihanna about her assault by former boyfriend Chris Brown is airing this week on ABC.

The pop star’s one-on-one with Diane Sawyer will air Thursday and Friday on “Good Morning America” and Friday evening on the news magazine “20/20.”

The incident occurred in February on the night of the Grammy Awards.

Brown was sentenced in August to five years’ probation, six months of community labor and a year of domestic violence counseling after he pleaded guilty to felony assault.

Rihanna’s ABC interview coincides with the debut of her new single, “Russian Roulette,” from her upcoming album, “Rated R.”

It’s her first CD release since 2007’s multiplatinum “Good Girl Gone Bad.”

What women want?

It’s a girl for Mel Gibson and his girlfriend – and child No. 8 for the Oscar winner.

Oksana Grigorieva, a 39-year-old Russian musician, gave birth to a baby girl named Lucia last Friday.

The 53-year-old “Braveheart” star has seven children with his ex-wife, Robyn.

Showing some restraint

Finally, on the celebrity legal beat, both Ryan Seacrest and Nicole Richie are the proud new owners of restraining orders – Seacrest against a man with a knife who was arrested Friday for stalking him outside E! Entertainment Television headquarters, Richie against paparazzi whom she says caused a car accident involving her.
